Teledoctor SaaS

Medical SaaS for audio-video and text communications

Project Introduction

Medical SaaS (Software as a Service) for audio-video and text communications in the healthcare industry refers to cloud-based software solutions designed specifically for healthcare professionals to securely and efficiently communicate with patients, colleagues, and other stakeholders using various forms of digital communication.

These platforms offer features such as video conferencing, secure messaging, and file sharing. This technology enables remote consultations, telemedicine, and streamlined communication within healthcare organizations, ultimately improving patient care and operational efficiency.

The main roles are doctor, nurse, patient. A modern VoIP platform with an SDK for web and mobile applications was chosen for development. All roles have developed mobile applications for android and ios, as well as a web portal for doctors. The patient’s mobile application can collect BLE data from external medical devices. Implemented individual and group calls. Users can share the app’s screen during video calls.

The developed software meets HIPPA compliance and has high-security standards.

Project's Specifics

Scope of Project

Architecture design
Our team was responsible for designing the system’s architecture, which involved creating a structured plan for the software’s various components to interact efficiently, ensuring scalability, modularity, and smooth data flow. This is critical for accommodating the particular needs of healthcare professionals and patients.

Mobile app development
We developed well-designed, responsive, and user-friendly mobile applications for both Android and iOS. This application offers easy access to the platform’s features and is optimized for the unique capabilities of each platform.

Cloud communication development
Our team of experts has developed a dependable cloud infrastructure by integrating real-time communication services, securing data storage, optimizing content delivery, ensuring high availability, and monitoring system performance. This approach allows us to provide scalable, secure, and efficient audio, video, and text communication services to healthcare professionals and patients while strictly adhering to healthcare data privacy regulations.

Development of the frontend and backend parts of the web platform
Our professionals developed the frontend and backend parts of the web platform for the Medical SaaS project involves creating a user-friendly interface for healthcare professionals and patients (frontend) and building the underlying infrastructure and logic that powers the platform (backend). This dual development process ensures a seamless, secure, and efficient system for audio-video and text communication, enabling healthcare professionals to interact with patients and colleagues while maintaining data privacy and compliance with healthcare regulations.

Integration of the third-party HIPAA-complience VoIP service
The integration of a third-party HIPAA-compliant VoIP service in this project involves incorporating a secure and compliant communication solution that adheres to healthcare data privacy regulations. By seamlessly integrating this service, the platform ensures that audio and video communication between healthcare professionals and patients is both reliable and in compliance with HIPAA standards, safeguarding sensitive healthcare information during remote consultations and enhancing the overall quality of care.

Project management
The tasks involve coordinating projects, monitoring performance metrics, and aligning schedules with customer.

Quality assurance
Functional, usability, and load testing of medical video and text communications apps.

1. Enhanced Access to Healthcare

Patients now have improved access to healthcare services through remote consultations and telemedicine. They can connect with doctors and nurses more conveniently, reducing the need for physical office visits, and making healthcare more accessible, especially for those with limited mobility or living in remote areas.

2. Real-Time Monitoring

The patient’s mobile application’s ability to collect data from external medical devices, such as BLE data, allows for real-time health monitoring. This means patients can have their vital signs and health metrics tracked and shared with healthcare providers for timely interventions and more personalized care.

3. Efficient Communication

Doctors can communicate with patients and colleagues more efficiently through the platform’s secure messaging, video conferencing, and file-sharing features. This streamlines collaboration, reducing delays and enhancing the overall quality of care.

4. Streamlined Workflow

The platform offers tools to help doctors manage their schedules, patient data, and communication all in one place. This streamlined workflow simplifies administrative tasks, allowing doctors to focus more on patient care.

5. Telemedicine

Doctors can provide telemedicine services, expanding their reach and providing medical care to patients who may not have access to in-person healthcare. This broadens their patient base and supports healthcare delivery in diverse settings.
