Vital RPM

Remote patient monitoring system is a safe and efficient way to monitor patients in nurses homes

Project Introduction

Remote patient monitoring is a gold standard of patient care and can be seen in healthcare services such as hospitals, long-term care facilities, chronic outpatient clinics, emergency rooms, and private medical practices.

Remote patient monitoring (RPM) is a healthcare practice that uses technology to monitor patients’ health and medical conditions from a distance. It involves the use of various devices, sensors, and communication tools to collect and transmit vital data to healthcare providers in real-time.

In this project we create a RPM system for monitoring patients with a variety of diseases and conditions like diabetes and hypertension.

The project’s goal is to optimize and increase efficiency of gathering patient’s readings, especially vital data and quickly deliver the data to the doctor.

Project's Specifics

Scope of Project

BLE – mobile app for medical equipment communication
Our team has created a mobile app that seamlessly connects Android tablets to medical devices using Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) integration. It transfers real-time patient data, improving care quality and aiding medical professionals in informed decision-making.

Cloud communication development
The mobile device is capable of establishing communication links with multiple cloud services, enabling seamless integration of cloud-based functionalities. Additionally, the device implements cloud performance analytics to ensure optimal performance and reliability of the connected cloud services.

Business analysis
This stage of project includes a process of gathering and analyzing functional business and system requirements.

Project management
The tasks involve coordinating projects, monitoring performance metrics, and aligning schedules with the business analyst.

Quality assurance
Functional, usability, and load testing of medical equipment apps and devices.

Results

1. Allows nurses to collect exact vital data
RPMs allow healthcare providers to obtain critical data from patients from the nurses homes.

2. Reduce the risk of entering erroneous data
RPMs utilize various technologies such as wearable devices, sensors, and mobile apps to collect and transmit patient data to healthcare providers in real-time. The collected data includes vital signs, medication adherence, and other health-related metrics. By continuously monitoring patients remotely, healthcare providers can detect potential health issues early, adjust treatment plans, and intervene in emergencies.

3. Increase the speed of a data collection for a large number of patients from one set of devices
The nurses have ability to get more accurate patient’s writings from one set of medical equipment in short-term

4. Doctors’ access to quickly updated data and data history
Remote patient monitoring systems provides timely alerts to medical personnel, ensuring that patients receive immediate attention if their health status deteriorates. This technology has revolutionized healthcare delivery, allowing for more efficient, cost-effective, and patient-centric care.
